A normal name... Neither roleplaying nor 0mFg 1337...
Just a regular name. and if you can think of any good one that has "Hero" in it because it is kinda of like a name trend for me. Half my character have "Hero" in there name.

well mesmers arent so much heroes as antiheros (as in ppl who have a dark side but are seen as heroes to some - not like antiperspirent) so:
Envious Antihero?

For mesmers i like names like:
Mimic
Entertainer
Performer
And if you insist on having Hero in ur name then add hero to those...

Mesmer rule of thumb is a name must sound intelligent or be hard to spell.
My name? Tiresias Hephaestus. Sure gets you invited faster than X X Pwn X X (sorry if anyone actually uses that name, but point taken?)
I tend to pick names out of mythology because they are interesting/underused

When i first created a mes, i just tried to take names from ppl i relly know and i came up with Dean Harper, which seems to fit nicely with my mesmer. I suggest you do the same, that is, unless you want something like I Pwn In Pvp or something like that. After you create your main, play the rest of ur chars names off of that name, for example, after Dean Harper, i created Arias Harper and Aras Harper. Later, i made other chars off of my guild leaders name, Deathby Garden Gnome: Deathbys Servant and Deathbys Healer. It all depends on what you want your name to be like. If you want a realistc name, use ppls names in real life. If you want an un-realistic name, use different brand names or characters from video games to help you decide. Oh, also, when i created a sin, i called it Feigned Neutrality, after the new skill. Skills can give kool names, but they arent always readily available since there are so few of them, but if you change them up a little bit, the name should come out nicely.

I just looked up some names. I came across an interesting surname I liked, Jaenicke, while studying 1930's Germany, and then went and searched for a first name. Me ele's name is Adara, which has 3 different meanings, one is noble, the other is virgin, the last is fire (guess what element she specializes in?). My monk took another route, I thought of words that were associated with monks in this game, ie light and serenity, and translated them into other languages. My necro's name is Russian (no implication there, I just like the way it sounded). Other times I take different spellings of modern names, ie Racael, Nik, Celesta, Janna.
Mesmers in particular are about style so try to avoid the highly common names. Mesmers are also mental so, for an example, I did a search for names that related to dreams or visions. Rasui, is a male name which means dream in egyptian, or Aislin, which is Irish/Gaelic for vision. From there I looked up surnames relevent to the given name. For instance you might try Rasui al Bakari (egyptians don't actually use surnames, they use their father's names and grand-fathers names, so I just used another given name) for a male or Aislin Holcombe (celtic/gaelic/saxon). Granted, I'm not too familiar with the naming conventions from the middle eastern area so my apologies if I messed that up.
Just go search up some name lists (I found this site which has a wide variety of given names) and then google up regional surnames.

Dragon Lord Hero
Mighty, Mending Lord.
Colonel Overlord.
Grip of Steel
Mr Mighty the Mending Wammo.
ooooh wait, I misread. You wanted mesmer names. Shame...I much prefer making names for wammos.
My mesmer is called Crispy Strips. Dunno why but a lot of mine are food related.
If you go for a male mesmer it would HAVE to have the word "camp" in the somewhere like:
Calum the Camp
Campin It Up
Lo Sha's Dad
Female mesmers are much nicer...
I'm not so good at thinking up good names...takes me a very long time when I make a new character...although one of my recent ones called "Curious Fingers" I feel was inspired.
I dunno...
Inspired Hero
Claire, The Frustrating
Dominant Hero
